AMD 64 basic o/c - FSB/memory speed?

I am fairly new to the O/C world, only mild FSB bumps until now. I am building a new system this week, and this is my planned hardware.
AMD 64 3200+ Newcastle
1GB Corsair 3200XL 2-2-2-5 Memory
Abit K8V Pro Motherboard
I have heard some say that these only scale well at 1:1. I was planning on pushing the memory as far as it would go at 2-2-2-5, and setting the FSB to around 240-250. My question is, will this give me the best performance for the proc, or should I go with memory with a higher FSB. Should i shoot for 1:1, or would it be better to have the memory fsb higher, proc fsb higher, etc.

I think A64 wont overclock more than 200 mhz. But I might be wrong. That's what I heard from previous threads.

I have my FX-53 2.4GHz @ 2.81GHz(posts at 3.1GHz). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's more than 200MHz. Granted, that's on super cooling... I've seen people pull 300-400MHz out of some of them on air. I just read a few days ago about a guy who had a FX-53 that'd do the same clocks as mine on air.

I can go 300mhz with just 1.5v to the core. I think the 200mhz adjustment is as high as most can go w/o adjusting the core or the memory timings/voltage/etc...

i'm just curious as to how far Corsair XMS 3200XL will go? my setup is in my sig and i'd like to hit at least 250 FSB, but how far can i push this ram?

look at the rig in my sig.

if I run the cpu at 250x10 and the RAM at 1:1 with loose timings, my sandra memory scores were around 5700.

running the cpu at 250x10 with the RAM at the next ratio down (ddr416) and the tighter timings noted below, my sandra score jumped to 6200.

you want tighter timings with DDR400+ speeds. high fsb doesn't benefit amd like it does intel p4.

Make sure you're using 1T and not 2T.

Feel lucky, I only get 3294/3295 with my value select at 2.5-3-3-8 OC'd to 440mhz
