AMD 64 atholn 3400+ HELP

Ok I have an AMD 64 atholn 3400+ on a gigabyte ga-k8vm800m MB. When I try to increase the FBS past 212 my computer will not load past the XP loading screen. what should i do?
At idel my temp is only 35c
