Hello all,
im looking for a fairly inexpensive waterblock for my amd64 3200 and i was wondering if there are any blocks around $40 that are 1/2 ID that you all could recommend? and for fun a good fairly cheap GPU block to for around the same price - and what waterblocks could be converted to the amd64 style of cpu clasp. (so i can ebay one ;) )

maze4 blocks from dangerdenstore.com

although the cpu block is $40, it is a bit outdated. The TDX is a good buy and is $55.

the maze4 gpu is a good block, and is about $45.

Also, don't forget about Swiftech's blocks, which should see a bit of a decrease in price with the announcment of their/cathar's new storm block

And no offense but $75.00 or their abouts for the Storm block is DAMN cheap.

i may have an XP, but im lvoing the Danger Den RBX block... most excellent cooling, dropped my temp (from the kingwin AWC-1) at lest 15c... im runnin at 41c when overclocked about 400mhz... http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-blc-65.html hope u likie 1/2'' ID tubing, if not, ur stuck with the TDX, and i know no1 with that model... might be for a reason...

You ditched a NexXxos XP for a RBX?

yea. With stock nozzles the TDX is slightly worse (I think) than the RBX. But if you get the extra nozzles that DD offers, it will be slighly better. Also it will only have one inlet and one outlet, so no Y connecter (offsets the cost of nozzles) and it looks better. Plus the TDX has more coverage.

all RBX models, that i know of and have seen, are dual exhaust and single intake, but y ditch the y joint, the look sweet (just my thoughts)... i own 1 myself... and chaos... y not the RBX, it looks uber sweet, might have better (if not same) preformance, and if i recall, next to no price change... but should u have a doubt, just make a thread on "RBX or TDX by Dnager Den"?

The Swiftech 6002 performs better than both the TDX & RBX, especially with less flow, and even at higher flow rates than most loops are able to achieve: http://www.procooling.com/html/pro_testing.php

As has been said before, the 6002 is also cheaper, but if you're getting a D5 as well, then you'll save more by going with the TDX/D5 combo at DD.

hey, cool link, i checked it out... and for fast(er) water flow provided by the pumps of godly awesomeness such as the hydors (i have the L30 @320gph, 5.333gpm) and for high water flow, dispite the lack of covering that water speed, it appeared that RBX was in 7th place, though most of the other competitors wern't tested at a high speed of water flow... and btw, chaos... the RBX is better at all flows than the TDX

its better off getting the Alphacool Nexxos block. it has the same performance as the Swiftech STORM block (refering to the procooling waterblock test) and it is so cheap in comparison to the STORM or TDX!!! its price has just drop and it only cost about us$50!

here is the link for it. if u can DIY your own mounting (which is damn easy) it will actually cost u even less than us$50. eu30, which is about us$37 and u get the same performance as the STORM G4 for 50% the price of the STORM block. ($75)

and yes, the nexxos block does support 1/2 barb.

Do a little more research. One graph does not tell the whole story. Storm is the better block, but that is a nice price for the NexXxos...
