would i be able to oc my 2500 Barton to a 3200? I have crucial 2700 RAM or do i need 3200 RAM to do it? i jus dont want to try it and fry my system.

you'll need pc3200.

unless it's really good pc2700 then you may be able to overclock it.
 
most nforce 2 boards allow for the memory to be clocked seperately, but for best results go with the higher speed, as lower speed, higer latency memory can cause a bottle neck on your overclock. corsair is excellent. These seem to be cas3 ddr - you might want to go cas2.5 as they should have a bit more room for stability.
 
You wont "fry" your rig from not having the correct mem. You will just not be able to oc. Try it before you buy new shit.
