It's about a year and a half old and refuses to accept a charge anymore. The owner uses it a lot. Reads books, games, movies, streaming shows. Seven days a week, 24/7 it seems. Lots of use.

Battery won't accept a charge anymore. Maybe due to poor charging methods by the owner.

Any of you replace the battery? It looks pretty easy. I need some utensils to pry the case open without damaging the screen.

Problem I seem to have is a reliable place to get a new battery from. I looked on Amazon and nothing directly shows up in the searches. Mostly charging cords and cases.

Anyone got a line on a decent battery replacement?

Well, I thought I found what I needed. But nope. newpower99.com totes that they have replacement batteries, and nope. It ain't the same. Tried looking up the P/N, Model Number, or any other identifier, of the battery within the Kindle Fire and Google doesn't bring up anything.

Disposable tech.... New Kindle Fire on way.
