PC Gamer managed to spot an interesting change on Amazon's website. When shopping for certain PC components, users can now enter the make and model of other computers or components to see if the item in question is compatible. Amazon has a long way to go before achieving parity with sites like PC Part Picker, as the service wasn't offered with several popular components I searched for. In addition, Amazon didn't seem to recognize DDR4 compatibility in several motherboards, even though compatibility should be a given. This isn't surprising, given that this feature is a new adaptation of the automotive "Partfinder" service. Still, this could go a long way towards making PC component shopping less daunting.
