Not really sure where this would go, however I am curious. Amazon on their site states that they do not price match, but I am fairly sure that I've seen people post that they've gotten Amazon to price match newegg... am I mistaken on this?

If you look on the product page, scroll about 1.5 pages down and you'll see

Code:
Did we miss any relevant features for this product? Tell us what we missed.
Would you like to update product info, give feedback on images, or tell us about a lower price?

Click on the "tell us about a lower price?" and you'll be able to let them know of a lower price. Whether or not they will lower the price I have no idea.

You can submit a lower price to them using the "tell us about a lower price" link on the product page or you can email customer service, but either of those methods don't always work.

Clearance deals like those are highly unlikely to be price matched by Amazon.

What do you think Woot is?

Discount bulk seller. Doesn't mean that it's clearance. Most of the time I see them selling refurb items. Still doesn't mean it's clearance.

Either way, if they pricematch they pricematch, if they don't, they don't.

I appreciate the info guys.

I'd argue that due to the limited time frame of a Woot deal combined with their typical deep discount would warrant calling it a clearance deal (esp since they sell it until it's sold out and by definition a clearance sale is a sale to clear out stock). If you want to be technical and call it a discount bulk seller deal, that works as well. Either way, given that they're limited time offers and not normally stocked items it's highly unlikely that Amazon will price match. Good luck with your effort.

Aamzon will price match on certain items. You have to call them 866-423-5355 That's the large item number. They'll match TV's and other things.
