I have one as well. It's an excellent card for people that play on lower resolutions. All it really lacks is memory..

It kills Crysis.

All high @ 1280x1024 and only getting ~33 fps in the GPU benchmark? Yeah, those settings aren't going to be playable beyond the first level. I would guess that in game it would have to drop to all medium or a mix of medium/high (that is all the more powerful 8800GT can muster)

It also lacks a place in the market. The 9600GT can be had for the same price (a BFG card after MIR is at the egg for $90, same as the XFX 8800GS), and the faster 8800GT can be had for only $10 more (Asus $100 after MIR) It was a good deal when it launched (as it was $130-140 when the 8800GTs were still $200+), but its not so hot anymore.

Yeah, you have to find them on sale to make them worthwhile, like when NewEgg was getting rid of the rest of their stock of the evga 8800GS the other day and had them on sale for $60 after rebate. I swiped up one real fast for a build I'm working on for my sister. Totally worth it at that price.

I actually got mine because I was looking to buy COD4 at the time, and found the card at 90 AR, bundled with it. This is when the 9600GT's were $160.

I'm going to sell it IRL very soon - once I get my mobo/case switched out for a Shuttle I'll be upgrading to a HD4850. The guy's buying it off me for $40.
