OK, I'll bite. Bang asked for a roadmap showing quadcore before 2008. I gave him one. He questioned its authenticity, I backed it up with pictures I personally took. Was I arguing its voracity? No, just that it existed and that it came straight from AMD.

But thanks for playing!

Chris I never questioned its authenticity. I just asked for more links. Also I listened to part of the pubcast and will watch it all later. In that pubcast the slides show quad core K8L in 08 not mid 07. The 2 core K8l was shown as mid 07. If you watch that pubcast with an open mind there are other details that just plane didn't ring true to what we already know as facts.

Tell me what time during that webcast, because I was sitting in the audience. Nowhere was K8-L mentioned by name (that I recall), only Next Generation Core, and there were features that matched up.

Got Socket F? Things do change and maps against real hardware is laughable at best. Anand admited that that he was bond by AMD to NOT compare AM2 to Conroe. are you guys under the same thumb?

Again, all Road Maps say they are subject to change without notice and are a just guides. That goes for Intel and AMD. Bangs map did show the first 65nm AMD Quad processors as K8 based and AMD said as much. The next new one doesn't ship until 2008, might be stampped and tested in 2007.

I loved this line;

Conroe seems too :p for the AMD K8 core, despite our recent optimistic forecasts...
Your persistence is admirable but this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact I was shown a roadmap. And all I was doing was communicating it to Bang. I was not at all arguing its voracity, just that it was authentic and direct from AMD. I'm not going to repeat myself. AMD could completely miss target on that roadmap and it would have nothing to do with what I was saying.

I forget the guys name but he was an excellant speaker. He was the first speaker after the Ceo opening statement . The part with the slides was right after the fab guys speach.

I think you should listen to the fab guys speach again also. The part were he says the Dresden fad Has never ever missed a deadline in its History ever.. Than reflect on hammer

At the close AMD down29 cents @ $23.97

INTC up 56cents @$18.61

Sorry Chris but that's people talking without hardware, there little to no WOW-factor for me. I told one of your other forum visitors that I believed Intel when they said there would be plenty of Conroes for everyone. Now because he doubts it, I was called an Intel Fan LOL! If some one believes the AMD PR, does that make them an AMD Fan?

You know good and well that I've pointed out Negative things I didn't like about Intel and or AMD. I believe what either of them shows/demos or etc.... Not what they're bragging about on Road maps, that is like we say in the next state over from you, "Talk is CHEAP ;)

AMD deliberately has a relatively low clock processor making the first transition from 90nm to 65nm. AMD has no single core 65nm AM2 Athlon processors on its roadmap at this time.

So I look up Brisbane. Many it is about 95% current AM2 X2 at 65nm. Since Don't work for AMD, I can't say yea or nay! Is Brisbane K8L?

I didn't me to *argue! I just pointed out that Raod Maps are just giudes, plans or an outlook. Intel and AMD have been FOS on them. But what I said did have something to do with what Bang said. It wasn't meant just for you.

AMD could tell you they figured out a way to make 24 core procesors on .032nm, would you believe them in the abscence of hardware? This whole year all I've done is hear AMD talk a good game while having little to show for it.

You know.... I hate to be the one to bring this up, but since you mentioned it....

The same thing can be said for Intel. They been talkin about a chip that is not in retail, and there are only a hand full out in the wild, that only insiders, and well entrenched hardcore overclockers can get there hands on.... what ever happened to june 23rd? still waiting....

In the abscence of availability, and retail benches, and other non moderated info, why is it so easy to down AMD, and up Intel?

Your what is called an "anti-fan" someone who is CLEARLY a !!!!!!, but denies it till your red in the face.
