Am2 Processors

Well we know AMD is officially launching it on May 24, so if you order it today you will get it after their official announcement.
And i don;t see any reason to switch to AM2 no performance increase or any thing.
 
I agree there is no point in going for AM2. Esp. when they are looking to go to DDR-3 soon (as well as Intel).

Maybe because someone out there could be stuck in a dead socket with no upgrade path such as 754 or theyre still running a socket 462 (athlon XPs) and would like to upgrade to a socket that has a future.

But if your on 939 then yeah I definetely dont see a reason to upgrade but as I said it will be good for others that need to build a new rig.

Maybe look at the end of the part number... where it says "BOX" :confused:
