Well, I am looking at this computer on Amazon UK and am looking for something in that price range (£450-£500).
I do know a little bit about computers and looking at the specs, it looks like a decent machine.
4.4GHZ quad core AMD processor
2GB ATI graphics card
8GB of DDR3 RAM
And so, I am looking for any advice anyone might have for me.
I know the Memory is a no brand potentially cheap thing, but 8 gigs aren't that expensive and can be had for about £50 as far as I know.
Thanks for any replies!

That PC is a ripoff at that price, especially since £475 is the equivalent of more than $700 USD. Furthermore, the way Bulldozer CPUs work, pairs of cores are "permanently" linked together, meaning that the four physical cores do not truly function independently of one another. That's what I meant by having a quad-core CPU being effectively only a dual-core CPU. Worse, that "build" includes a slow and lower-end GPU from the previous generation - and not only that, it is likely to be of the even less desirable DDR3 version rather than the GDDR5 version (since GDDR5 support on most HD 6670 cards is limited to 1GB maximum).
