it seems like i buy something in my price range because i just cant justify the extra for something better and as soon as i get it the prices drop

160 for my 9600xt, and for 30 more i could get a 9700 pro

30 more than that could get me a 9800 pro. this is agravating i dont want to send my current card back but i want a 9800:(

how huge of a difference would i notice between the 9600 to 9700pro or to a 9800 pro from teh 97?

It happens to me a lot. Hey, awesome Pentium 1, then bam, next week, the P2 ships, P1's prices drop.

Of course, this was when I was a lot younger. Now I kind of turtle on tech purchases.

I just bought the 9600XT about two months ago (and still haven't used it yet, thanks to lack of processor), but the 9700 started coming down in price (and 9800 too), so I'm a little disappointed in that, but hey, that's tech for ya.
