I just want to throw this out there. I am currently using a Sapphirre 4850 in my rig that i have overclocked at 690/ 1160. I also have it cooled by a Accelero S2 with a 120mm fan. it never goes above 52c even after 10 mins on Furmark. Anyways, I have Recently purchased an Asus Ms246 monitor after gaming on a Samsung 208 for 5 years. I was afraid my 4850 Wouldnt handle new monitor. Played BF2 BC last night At 1900/1080 with with everthing on High,AA at 1x, anistrophic filter at 4x ,Vsync off, and HBAO on. The last four I dont even know what they mean! Im an avid gamer of limited means, with 3 kids the old lady still bitching about monitor upgrade! I was happy with the way my 4850 held up to 3 hours of gaming last night. no stuttering or crashes. i was just wondering if i am missing out on performance by not upgrading or am i getting 70 or 80 percent of what the performance of say an upgrade to a 6850 would do. numbers are numbers and i know a 6850 would smoke my 4850, but Is it worth 200 bucks. any suggestions or comments are appreciated. Anyone remember the Voodoo cards?

Never cards will let you use more AA and the like, but if that stuff doesnt really matter to you then no you arent missing out on anything.

thanks guys, may hold out on video card till next year. I was wondering if you thought there is a difference in gaming between gaming in hdmi and dvi. Im 4850 doesnt have an hdmi output, the monitor came with a dvi to hdmi cable . Is this ok because yesterday i had a problem where some weird dancing green pixels effect showed up. I researched it and it could be a bad monitor or just a bad cable
