I have an intel P4 2.8E and a 925 motherboard. 2 sticks of 512 DDR2 533 kingston memory. MSI GeForce 6600 GT 128 MB.

I get 57.7 fps in doom 3 with high settings 1024x768 no AA or AF. I get 12200 in 3D mark 2001. I get 50 000 in Aqua Mark 3.
I get 3254 in 3d mark 2005

Are my scores correct?

Yeah that is low in 3dmark 2001
I get 13,857 with
Athlon 64 3000
512 MB DDR pc3200
Radeon 9500 Pro

your doom3 scores seem fine. dont forget that doom3 is capped at 60fps while playing.

Yea 1220 is low on 2001....i remember my 2100+ and ti4600 running 13500 in 01... what GPU setting you running?

im not sure what the average score for a 6600gt is but they seem about right. even with PCI-E you are fine with your CPU. I mean yes a faster CPU will help scores.

play games. if they run and get good fps who gives a rats ass about your 3dmark score. I mean its not a direct comprison to games anyway. Just install some games you want to play and play them. if they run fine then great. Dont get caught up in the 3dmark score. Its good for somethings but dwelling on it and being super worried about the score is pointless IMO. But for your setup it seems about right. With my 2.53 p4 and 6800gt I get about 14-15k and thats cuz of the slower CPU.

In my humble opinion... 3DMark is piece of shit. Now, that doesn't mean I don't USE it, but as far as telling you how "good" your system is, I don't think it is a good predictor. Take this for example: I used to get around 20k - 21k with my 9800pro -> xt, 3.0C and 1 gig PC2700. After a REINSTALL of Windows, installed the same drivers, etc, my score dropped to below 19k. I never got it to go back up, but I've got screenshots to prove it. However, games always gave me the same fps. Play the games, screw benchmarking.

On quick note, 3dmark is useful to testing how much your overclock helps, but I don't pay attention to the total, just the differencial.

I have been maintaining a list of 3DMark05 scores for some time now. There are currently two score for the 6600 GT.

User------------Score
kid-gsm-------3,580
sinner0423---2,843

So it looks like your scores are not that bad in that particular benchmark. Your low score in 3DMark 2001 can be due to the fact that your card is not from 2001. Your card is more advanced than the benchmark basically.

I suggest private messaging the above users and asking them more specific questions. Often by using the correct drivers you can EARN like 1,000 more points in 3DMark05. I did awhile ago.

As stated above, I would never go with the benchmark on your card to see how it performs. I know a lot of people LIVE and DIE by 3Dmark200x but you have to look at the most important thing. How does the card play?

I got an 8500 128mb that gets spanked by my friends 5xxxx series Geforce in any 3dmark test, but when we play Doom 3 or HL or Quake III based stuff I trump him.

Don't go by what it tells you, go by what you feel is right.
