I had to replace the mobo on my main machine and now my CPU is running hotter than normal. I'm using the stock heatsink on my Opty 170(at stock) and the thermal paste is AS5.The AS5 was applied following the instructions from the AS website. The AS5 is probably about 3 years old but from a little looking that shouldn't be an issue. Do temps really drop that much after AS5 cures. I'm idling at about 40C on core1 and 33 on core2 with a 20C ambient temp. With the old mobo and stock thermal gunk I was getting 33 on core1 and 28 on core2.
I'm sorry if my post is poorly written I'm typing this up real fast in between classes. If you need to know anything else just let me know.

Edit. Old mobo was a Giga-byte K8N-SLI and the temps are being taken with Core Temp .96.1
