the thermalright ALX 800 heatsink says it works on athlon xp 2500+ and higher, do you think it would work on a Athlon Xp 2400+ mobile?
 
Athlon mobiles are just barton cores that run on less voltage, and put out less heat, it should run much cooler then a normal barton core.

oddly enough i have a mobile barton 2500+ and ALX coming on tuesday:D
 
I'm about to buy an ALX 800 also. Is there any performance difference with the original and the new revision?
 
I just recieved mine in the mail on Wed.
Put it on and dropped the temps on my 1700+, oc'd to 2.2, about 7c.

It had an ax7 on it before, using the same fan. 80mm 35 cfm.

For the $18 shipped, I was impressed.
