Does anyone know if there are any good third party PSUs that fit in the Antec Fusion HTPC case?

Ugh, how about most of them. It's not like the PSU in the Fusion is special or something.

Well, I'm sorry; I was under the impression it used a smaller PSU. No need to be snarky.

Why are you looking for a different PSU. The PSUs in the fusions are of good quality.

yea, it fits a standard atx psu. I would suggest a nice modular psu, if you need to upgrade. Corsair and PC Power and Cooling makes excellent quality power supplies.

I'm not being snarky; I don't see any point to spending money on swapping out the PSU in it unless you (stupidly) plan on running crossfire or something like a high powered video card in it.

The 430 watt PSU is way more then enough for an HTPC. Anyways, I don't see who 430 is really a "smaller" PSU or something.

I do agree with Neil though, modular should have been included with the case IMO.

I'm well aware of the quality of the Antec PSU -- I wouldn't have bought the case otherwise. Mine might be broken, however, and rather than going through the motions of getting a replacement (time > money), I was considering getting a high-efficiency modular PSU. We'll see what happens when I'm done troubleshooting.

I have a Fusion and I seem to recall the motherboard power cable has a couple extra wires spliced into it that then run to the front of the case. I don't remember off the top of my head what they were for but I'm assuming that would impede your ability to swap for the PS out.

I ordered this case after reading tons of stuff about it. Apparently, the display at the front of the case needs a special adapter to power it, the adapter is soldered on the PSU, you will probably need to call Antec to purchase that adapter separately, that is if you want the front display to work.

the adapter needed to run the vfd can be purchased seperately. I rma'ed my 430w earthwatts psu that came with my fusion and they returned a retail 430w Earthwatts psu so I had to call them and tell them they sent me the wrong one. Rather than send out an entire new power supply they sent me the adapter which worked out since it helped somewhat with cable management.
