BIOS Flash Alternative?
I'm having a problem updating the BIOS on my K7D Master-L.

The board itself is the red PCB with USB and LAN, version 1.0 I think. The BIOS on there is 1.3, and I'm trying to update to the 1.91 or whatever is the most recent.

When it gets to the programming phase, it just freezes. Nothing is written, there's no damage to the BIOS, but it just won't update.

I tried just like the readme says with all the /cy/ps/whatever and I've also tried step by step. No luck.

I remember a while back I had a bad flash, and someone here recommened I try a different program other than the "awdflash" most companies send along with their BIOS files. It worked perfectly! ...but I can't remember what the name of it was.

Anybody know?

Maybe a newer version of awdflash solves your problem??

Good Luck

Maybe, I'll try that, too.

But the program I'm thinking of was not make by any of the big name companies (Award, etc...). It was a separate utility that could flash any BIOS.
