I bought a soundbar, a D550 mostly because I can link it to my TV. I have 'anynet' control via an HDMI port but audio is by SPDIF.
I'm trying it out and I had it on yesterday and I could swear sound was biased to the left end.
My TV can play video/audio files over my network and the audio will go to the soundbar. I really want to go through the TV because it could be a system issue. So are there any Samples out there I can grab which will alternate both speakers back and forth with the same volume so I can figure this out?
The TV speakers themselves don't seem biased but it could be they effectively don't have hardly any 3D effect to begin with. Or the TV is doing the audio differently while the bar may be doing some different conversion. Or even the TV is sending a different conversion to the bar than it uses for its own speakers. idk.
But I need to start somewhere. If it still seems biased, I'll play it directly from a laptop to check the speakers themselves.
