My first video card was not a voodoo graphics but a Matrox m3d. The card cost me $60 and came with a game of equal value. Furthermore, it allowed me to play a number of the games I already played with better graphics.
How does Aegia expect anyone to pay $200 on a card with overwhelmingly limited value and useability? It is reportedly "highly programmable." Why not give it some use and release some way of exploiting that. If it were to simply behave like another core, I would be more likely to even think about investing in, what seems to me a product with, as of right now, essentially no use.
Just a thought. I have no idea how specialized the chip is.
