Video card. FX5200 is a joke, my toilet could process graphics faster. :p

expectation out of the card-run D3 and hl2 at 1024x768 (as far as my mointor will go, maybe 1240x1024 if i upgrade to a beter mointor) at the HIGHEST detail settings

Forget the PSU, if its on a dell, and a factory dell motherboard any dell system I have come across can only use dell's power supplies. (I've tried it). Even on my fathers dell 8300 it comes with a 4200ti, ive tried switching it to a asus 4200ti and it wouldnt even POST. You could give upgrading a shot but keep your reciepts, those systems can be very touchy-feely. I would just ride her till she died and upgrade (everything) later.

arent there PSU adapters for dell so that one can use standard atx PSU in a dell?
