Alright, just got my brand new A64 3000+ Venice socket 939 w/computer in sig.

I own a zalman 7000 AlCu, can i use it on my processor? I dont have the original athlon brackets anymore because i had a p4 northwood, but is it possible to get those brackets from somewhere? (like zalman perhaps?)

Any other cooling suggestions for my new processor besides the zalman 7000? (I been runnin my zalman 7000 for a year at least, leavin my comp on every day, will the fan die soon?)

EDIT: Oh yea, if someone can point me in the direction of some numbers about OC'ing the A64 that would be appreciated (i need to know what voltages are safe for proc/memory and how high of overclocks venice 3000+'s have been achieving)
 
I don't think Zalman sells them individually.

I'd personally go with an XP-90 or XP-90C since, hey, thats what I did end up with. Though the problem with them is that you have to increase voltage to lower temps, haha. Heatpipes are wonderful things.

Agreed, the XP90/90C are awesome air coolers.

gotcha. i covered that in the oc'ing guide though

Max voltage kinda depends on the cooling and cpu. for convenience, here is what i consider the max safe overvolt from stock voltage based on your cooling type:
Stock: +0.1v
Good Air: +.15v to +.2v
Water: +.2v
Phase Change: wtf are you reading this for if you have phase?! :p

if you're benching, add .1v to each of those :p
