I'm planning to build in the next month or so a 4 GPU setup. The Cards TDP is 300 Watts so the setup needs to be able to handle 1200 watts. I'll be purchasing 4 of the Alphacool GPU water-cooling blocks. As far as pumps go and resevoirs, I'm thinking of going with the kit below. Do you think a 360mm radiator is big enough to dissipate the 1200 watts? I have a spare NZXT 810 switch case which I plan to use and supports up to a 420mm radiator. Alphacools best radiator is 480mm so it's too big to fit in my case. As far as preventing microbes from growing in the cooling loop, what seems to be the best method?

When you compare the surface area of the 420 and the 480, they're actually fairly similar. 58800 mm^2 for the 420 and 57600 mm^2 for the 480.

420 on top, 280 on bottom with a Switch 810 is what I recommend. I have some spare radiators I need to sell if you're interested in saving a few dollars, I believe one of them is an Alphacool UT60 420. Also 140 fans, and some other parts (shameless plug).

I have used a silver killcoil for the past 6 years and haven't had any problems.

Personally I would go with a case that can accommodate a 420/480 on top and bottom. A Switch cannot. If i was doing your build, I would get two 480 rads in a big case that natively can support them
