I noticed the other day that Alphacool makes a block similar to the Aqua-Computer XP unit. Anyone had a chance to run this in their system? Or know the relative advantages (or disadvantages) of the Aqua-Computer XP block? I posted a question something similar to this on another product in the A-C English forum and it got locked as they didn't want any comparisons made regarding any other product  I thought that was unreasonable considering there are no reviews out in English that I know about :( If anyone knows of any how about a link or two :)

I too noticed how well the Alphacool block was rated in regards to the AC blocks. Do you think it is that easy to order from them as I am willing to be a ginnypig!!!!!

alphacool do ship world wide
they also accept credit card
shipping to HK is quite cheap too, i am not sure about shipping to US
i dont recommend bank transfer to germany, becoz they charge 45euro for receiving the money

I have a nexxxos xp silver top in one of my systems and have used an HP in another and both are great. As for getting them, i have a friend in deutschland and sometimes i can get things sent to his house then out to me or if hes out with his wife cruising the autobahn they'll stop and pick things up for me. Man i want to live in germany or austria, that way ill go broke from watercooling my computer instead of California taking everything i got.

Interesting.... I can not find the #1 rated block on alphacools website....

NICE~!

have anyone tried their NexXxoS Xtreme Radiators ? They look sweet.

I really like the coolplex 25 reservoir too.

sigh i hate the options. ugly and cheap (crappy too) or nice and overpriced. (in regards to reservoirs)

Alphacool is more high performance based while Aqua Computer focuses on silence first and foremost.

If you prefer, Alphacool makes the NexXxos XP Bold, wich is the same thing with a plexi top. I use their GPX (looks like the Cuplex Pro core) on my 6800GT. I'm currently debating wether to buy the Aquagra6800 or the AlphaCool all in one version, which is plexi on copper, like the DD 6800 block (and not solid like the AC or Innovatek version). Pro Cooling has a review of the Alphacool block up, and it performs really well, especially with a bigger pump (read: non Eheim 1046 level). There are a lot more 'German' companies than those two though. Cool Cases (http://www.cool-cases.org/) makes the #3 block on the Watercool Planet chart, the Cooling Freezer 2 (CF-2), and that has a lot in common with the NexXxos XP Bold.

I've ordered quite a bit of stuff from Alphacool (and Cool Cases Germany). The shipping is up there (usually $30), but the boxes arrive fast (2 weeks max) and well packed.

*There is a Cool Cases USA, but they only sell other American block that are sold everywhere else - Danger Den, Danger Den and Polarflo.

The socialist Republic of Kalifornia does so love it's Taxes....and fees....and high priced everything else......

I'm an independant contractor, and between the feds and the state (plus i have to pay ALL my SS, and workman's comp, bond insurance, etc) i lose just over 50% of gross

I have the Alphacool NexXxoS XP CPU Water Block installed on a NF7-S Motherboard. The block very compact, extremely high quality, easy to install and second only to the Storm G-Series relative to performance per ProCooling's evaluation.

http://www.procooling.com/reviews/html/alphacool_nexxxos_xp_waterbloc.php

I purchased the block w/retention bracket and (2) 12mm hose adapters directly from Alphacool for $102 with shipping. I ordered via their on-line store and received it 14 days later in New York State. They do accept Visa, Mastercard and AE credit card transactions.

The block can be used on numerous socket types with a change in the retention bracket which can be purchased separately.

My system configuration and cooling results are as follows:

Thro that right back at them. Because of shipping costing thirty dollars, you will likely get a new one and keep the old. Why?

Because under EU law, if the product is bought from a retailer, ynd damaged during shipping, and worth more than 40 Euros, the retailer has to pay all shipping costs in the event of the product arriving damaged, meaning: 30 to get the rad back to Europe, and 30 to get the new one out, plus 30 for the costs of damaged shipment
, plus the radiator.

So by just shipping you a new one they save $60, plus a lot of hassle. You might just get lucky!

That sucks! The last order of mine (Laing DDC w/Plexi top, Watercool AB-G, a lot of different size compression fittings, and a Cooltek triple 120mm rad) came in a box that had one side smashed in. When I opened it up, all of the items were bundled together and wrapped with 5 or 6 layers of bubble wrap. The box was then filled with air-filled bags. A couple were popped, but most were still cushy. Nothing was damaged, and I wouldn't hesitate to order something again :)

So if the Cuplex XT is as good as the Alphacool counterpart, it's going to be a pretty good performer.

becoz i ordered some other stuff too, and those stuff bashed the radiator fins, the radiator was warped with 2-3 bubble wrap layers
i already emailed them, first they said they will send me a new one, after a week i ask them for the tracking of the parcel, they reply and said they will not send me a new one and they said i can bend the fins back myself and give me 20% discount on my next order.
I dont really want discount, since i have everything, i dont want anything else, but i think i have no other choice to accept it.
when i ask them again about how i can get discount paying with my credit card, they never reply again, that was 21st of march til now

Find where it states what Little Grabbi stated, and then threaten to go to the authorities or something. Maybe ask Franz at IT-Trade for help, since he seems to know a lot about international trade and relations between the companies whose products he sells.
