sorry WabeWalker but you are nuts if you think the graphics look modern. they are absolutely horrible for a modern game.

At this very moment, my character is standing in the safe house in Rome.

I walk over to the window, which has reflections on its surface - no way did we see anything like this even three or four years ago. The complexity of the glass has got Unreal 3 written all over it.

Now I'm looking at the table top in front of the glass - again, the table is shiny and as I move around I can see some nice reflections on the surface. The sun is streaming in through the glass and as I move through it I can see some neat particle effects - yup, it's all pretty modern. Like I just said, even three or four years ago games didn't have this.

The character, Mike Thornton, has that highlighted glow around him - an effect we've only begun to see in the past 18 months.

I can tell right away that this game is modern looking. It's got that Mirror's Edge quality to it. No way is this game 'ten years old looking'. Absolutely no way.

You'd have to be blind not to be able to tell the difference between this, and a game that was released 4 years ago. I launched Splinter Cell Chaos Theory a few days ago. It's dead easy for me to tell which engine is more modern. Dead easy.

If you can't tell that this is Unreal 3 - then I'd have to say there's something wrong with your computer.

(I've seen this type of comment before - and invariably it's an Unreal Engine game that people are complaining about. What is it about this engine that certain people don't like? I heard people complain about Mirror's Edge too - they said it was ugly. Same deal with Vegas 2 - people said it was ghastly looking. I don't get it. Some people really seem to have an issue with this engine.)

sorry but I have seen plenty of vids and screenshots and read reviews and the graphics are quite bad whether you accept it or not. the main comment I see about this game is how ugly and old looking it is. reviewers seem to make it a point that the game is NOT modern looking at all and looks quite dated.

Batman AA used unreal engine 3 and completely slaughters Alpha Protocol in the visual department. of all the games I have been following Alpha Protocol is by far the ugliest game I have looked at.

hell just do a google search for Alpha Protocol graphics and you will see that basically everyone but you thinks the game is outdated looking.

Ah, I see. Thanks.

That's it.

If you don't have anything good to say, then you're not going to say anything at all.

End of discussion.
