Hey,

After many days of trying to figure out whats wrong with my machine heres the situation.

I ran Prime95 and it failed on the 3rd run of the first test.

I switched PSU's and it did fine until like the 18th test.

The one I switched it with was a cheapo to test, and it got further than my other Enermax which is over 2 yrs old.

Could it be that it was enough to get further but still not enough to complete? Or is it another piece of hardware that's giving me the problems?

I've tried different ram, it's not that.

The above, is from the first PSU. The Enermax that failed on the 3rd test is a 300W, the cheapo is 330W. Is that enouhg or is that my problem? It's running:

Abit-IC7 MAX3
512MB DDR 3200
P4 2.6C
2 Case Fans
1 HDD

Any ideas comments or suggestions?

what is wrong with the computer in the first place?

personally i have never ran prime95 in any of my computers.
I also have a tendency to use power supplies that give me much more than enough power than i need.

if it was me, i'd probably use a min of 350watt power supply. but that's me...

I was getting random program crashes, sometimes even BSOD.

I know it's not software, it's not memory either.. :S
