Allendale Performance Speculation

I am trying to decide between getting an E6300 now, or wait until the E4300 Allendale comes out.

I know the E6300 and E6400 are physically identical to the 4mbs, but since the E4300 is a different chip, with 2mb natively, how could this hinder or improve its overclocking abilities?

the allendale will prolly be a better OCer b/c it has a higher multiplier than the low end Conroes.

also... it *is* newer silicon... so maybe the core is manufactured better?

can't remember but i think the 4300 will be 800fsb instead of 1066? if so, then there's the higher multiplier for you

You can just do more on it. With it I can rip a movie, play Oblivion, and run NIS2007 all at the same time, no slow down and it doesn't even go to 100% at all. I also use it for "other" stuff...

Us boys - And our beloved marty - in the DC forums have irresistable cravings for CPU power... .. It's not about points though (well, maybe for some people it is, it really shouldnt be though) - its about helping humanity better it's knowledge of biology and medicine, and by doing such, better the lives of future generations, and everyone really.
Glad to see you read up on F@H and changed your stance on it! That's a really nice rig you have there man, and personally, I think you should brag about it, but that's just me! Maybe one day you'll feel inclined enough to get into F@H too!
