All videos have reversed colors

Hi, all my videos have reversed color, VOD, avi, even rm, etc
i don't know about quicktimes bc i forgot to check b4 i uninstalled it.

I had k-lite codec before but i uninstalled it. (i tried to reset all codec's setting to default, but it didn't help)
I uninstalled almost all the video softwares on my pc, only left WMP 10 and iTunes w/o quicktimes.
then i installed the new real player. but all rm still have reversed color.

what should I do? i don't think i got virus i have kaspersky internet security 7 running on windows xp sp2 pro

i know the fan on my video card isn't spinning, is this the problem? (it's a cheap 7300 GS)

Well, when the fan isn't spinning that's always a problem. Sometimes when the file is corrupted or the file's codec is funny, it will reverse the colors, does it do it with all the types of files? like mp4

yes all my videos have this problem,
.asf
.avi
.rm
.mp4 too
native .wmv also have reversed color.
etc.

what should I do:confused:
 
when i had this problem it was codecs problems, i had to remove them all, use some reg cleaners to ditch them all and then only download the ones i needed.
 
I just installed VLC, at first the same problem occurs, then I change its video mode to Open GL, and I got normal color back, yeah!
but this only affect VLC, WMP still have bad color.

(I still get reversed color with VLC if i set video mode to direct3D and DirectX.)

maybe i should reinstall directX
