OS Windows 7 Home Premium
My daughter was trying to burn some music from her Firelite drive to my laptop and in the process all of my shortucts now have a .lnk extension. All of the shortcuts now link to Windows Media Player, but the executable files in the Program Files folder are not affected. I have completed a malware and antivirus scan and both were negative. My thoughts at the moment are either System Restore or format and reinstall the OS. Are there other solutions I should consider?
Thanks in advance.
