If you check my other thread going at the moment youll see the computer i plan to build. Does it make sense to build a computer totally from newegg..i know they ahve good service even tho i personallyhave never ordered anything computer related online. Should i get peices from diff sites..anyone know of deals i am missing out on?

Newegg is pretty much the leetness. I will only buy from Newegg and Frozencpu. Even IF there is a store out there with a little lower price on something, newegg has awesome shipping prices, and they're customer support is unbelievable. I have newegg on my speed dial b/c i call them so much. I have RMAd countless items and every transaction has gone smoothly. I have never heard newegg say anything besides "yes" and "you're welcome." If newegg were a girl, I would kidnap her and sneak her into my basement and make love to her for the rest of my life.

I cant belive I just posted that.

I generally purchase 90% of all my parts from Newegg. I trust them the most, and they usually have the lowest or near-lowest prices, and they deliver it pretty fast.

Plus, for big orders, I like to order from one place mainly, so everything gets here at the same time.

mpK1337, is your alter-ego NakedMidgetRunin?

Can't go wrong with newegg. however it makes me cry when my items ship from the TN location since I'm so close to the Cali facility. Despite this I still order from them time and time again.

ok myabe ill just order it all from them..I am trying to make it so all my parts arrive on the same day or close too..and i live in PA. I have a eVga card shipping on august2nd...ground...so it will get here a week after that :(

I am beginning to like newegg.. especially with more of the major components [drives, ram] where they offer free shipping.
Have only had to call them once on RMA refund for some ram [damn kingmax wasn't liked by my computer] and was able to waive the restocking fee when I ordered different RAM for equal or greater price. Everything went fine. Toll free number for support, helpful people you can understand. Just make sure you understand all their return policies.

I think I will be ordering from them for quite a long time.

Yeah i am looking at one monitor...FREE SHIPPING..wow..thats a big box for free

I run my own computer business...I've tried other vendors, much to my distress :(

I have found that even if newegg is a bit more expensive on an item, I still go with them, becuase I know I'm not going to get screwed...as I have so many other places.

newegg is a great store, but they aren't the only store

zipzoomfly is very good as well, they are usually a couple dollars cheaper than newegg and offer free 2nd day UPS on most stuff

I've used ZipZoonFly as well (formerly Googlegear). I bought my 9600XT from them for $15 less with free shipping, and a Zalman CNPS7000 AlCu heatsink as well.

zipzoomfly is also very good. they have free 2nd day shiping and a lot of times are cheaper then newegg. just my $0.02

the ONLY reason why id buy from somewhere else is if newegg didnt have whatever in stock

Wish there was a Canadian version of Newegg. I have only heard good things about them. NCIX.com is good, but the selection lacks.

I"m gonna order my a64 3000+ and vnf3-250 from zipzoomfly since they still have farcry for free.

what about mwave? any problems with that site, i'm thinking about getting something from there or should i go back to newegg

No complaints about mwave. They'd be my backup if by some cruel twist of fate Newegg or ZZF went down.

I purchased an AthlonXP OEM cpu from them...when it arrived, the core was all chipped to hell, like it had been used and returned, $20 in shipping and a few weeks later they gave me a partial refund...I'll never buy anything from them again

newegg -> for almost evrything

ZipZoomFly -> for expensive ram and HD

Crazy PC and FrozenCPU -> cooling and OC stuff and Mods

newegg -> would be just a tiny bit better if they werent in CA ($50 TAX on my upgrade)
zzf -> if lower prices and youre in CA and TX?
directron -> seems good too, slower shipping

I purchase all my PC stuff from the Egg. This last go around I tried the whole, find the lowest price and order it from that place, but it didnt work out as well  Next time I do an overhaul, its ALL from the Egg. I will wait till they have it in stock because I KNOW its going to get here in great condition for a great price [most of the time].

I purchases two Hitachi drives from them, then decided I didn't need them. I called them and they gave me a RMA # and waived the 15% restocking fee, even thought they had stopped carrying that model when I called.

Great experience.

I used to be a pricewatch.com Fanatic but these days usually the best price on there ends up after shipping either a little more or matching newegg cost wise, plus buying from the lowest bidder on there is a very good way to get burned, (high dealer turn-over) and ususally a horrid return policy.

for scsi gear and other things newegg doesnt carry ill just troll ebay.

pricewatch and pricegrabber are good, but throw in a healthy dose of reselleratings too

i ordered most of my stuff from newegg and usually some of the onsale stuff on xoxide especially their xhour sales... depends on the product though

however, other things like harddrives and generic ram, i just buy it in b&m stores like cc and bb to save money by taking advantage of its MIRs

I am a newegg shopper as well. Just ordered a ASUS mobo, shipping cost .99 cents, heh. Bought a lot of other stuff from them, and they roxxors.

Newegg rocks. I have spent over 5k in computer parts there the past 3 years and never had a problem.

It's newegg all the way for me. most everything I buy is from them. Especially when they have their refurb sales...........ahh... $29 nf7-s
