Anyone know why this is? Apparently both the Radeon X600 and the GeForce 6600 will be only PCI-E to start. I would think if anything, they would make the high-end cards PCI-E, because of the increased bandwidth and the fact that power users would be more likely to have a PCI-E motherboard than the average gamer. The GF6600 looks like a suitable card for what i want but i don't want to have to switch to a P4 system (new motherboard, chip, and reinstall windows) just to get it, as that would defeat the purpose. If it came down to that i'd just buy the more expensive AGP cards....

x600 is availible already for pci-e the 6600 is the only thing new coming to the pci-e table.... i'm waiting for a 6800 ultra pci-e, i didn't spend 1,900 dollars on the rest of my computer to have a craptastic 6600 in my machine...

Yes, they are. Everyone knows PCI-E is worthless for now, so they're trying to push it into the mainstream for those that don't know what they're buying (Dell is selling them already). Not to say that people who buy mainstream cards don't know what they're doing, but when you have OEMs offering this brand new PCI-E, people who don't know anything jump on it.
