Hey guys,

I have a question about some video playback issues on my laptop.

Here are the specs of the laptop (Waste of money alienware m17 lol)

the laptop is 3-4 yrs old
amd turion 2.4 ghz cpu
2gb ram
nvidia 7900 gs 512mb video card
WD scorpio blue 320gb hd

I used to use this laptop to play games and watch movies at work with zero problems, this thing used to be a beast. After many reformats and performance getting slower and slower, I decided to upgrade to a SFF-PC. Im only using this until my new parts come in for my new SFF-PC, since my old pc got stolen last week.

The problem I am having is this thing is studdering like crazy trying to play back any format of any quality video, on both the laptop display, a projector, and a 22inch monitor.

I've re installed windows 7 x64, updated all the drivers, and using vlc media player, and tried win media player.

Is there anything I can try to do or change? I'm pretty sure this laptop should be able to handle playing some videos.

Thank you,
Dave

I apologize if this is in the wrong section
