As the title says, I'm debating between 2 monitors.
I'll add a little table to lets you know the basic details, also note that the price is in my country, I know there are better deals on the web.

I'll say I'm a gamer, so I would very much like the 120hz and 3ms response from the AW2310.
I've read many articles on both of those screens and I yet been able to form a dominant decision on which is better for my needs.

I am tending towards the AW2310 right now though, but is the extra price of the AW2310 worth it?

do you shop by brand? i mean there are many monitor from Acer/Samsung similar or better than those two /w lesser cost. But if i have the money i would get the AW one b/c of the 120mhz/3d support.

Unfortunately, not all the models and brands are available here. These are the best options so far IMO.

Game in 3d and see if you really like it, otherwise grab the far superior U2410 and be happy.

Why shouldn't I consider the 120hz as part of the equation? the only thing worthwhile is the 3D gaming?

Yea pretty much , gaming is the only reason to really get a 120hz panel. Otherwise the money would be far better invested in something with better color reproduction , better viewing angles , more even uniformity.

If you don't game don't bother with the Alienware.

That is a bit of a weird price ratio. The u2410 is actually cheaper then here in North America, while the Alienware is more then twice as expensive. How much are monitors like the Dell u2311h, Nec ea231wmi, HP zr24w? What about the price for alternative 120hz monitors?

The Dell u2311h is around 380$, We don't have the NEC here, (Unfortunately, cause I would've gotten him) or the HP zr24w.

I find it hard to believe that the u2410 is cheaper here, since everything is suppose to be more expensive cause of import taxes and such.

The u2410 is 700 USD off dell.com regular here, the Alienware is 560 USD (remembered the price wrong, thought it was ~400 USD).

Why not consider the u2311h? At $380 that seems like the much better value. It doesn't seem like 16:10 or wide gamut is a deal breaker for you since you listed the Alienware as a choice.
