What's new over the older model that also did 120hz?
2ms response instead of 4ms response.

Different stand.

Oblivion (movie) color scheme

Mooaar money?

I have the previous model and it's been great. Only thing it's missing is HDR, so I'm surprised they didn't add it to this one, otherwise it's pretty much the same it seems. I def prefer my stand and button location over the new one though.

It would be a no brainer if it had atleast 144hz+.
120hz at this resolution is a gen 1 g-sync limitation according to the guys in the big slickdeals thread. Supposedly? Gsync 2 chips (that aren't out yet) bring faster refresh to the table. Freesync supports faster as well.

Now i’ll argue you can’t tell the difference between 120hz and 144hz in a truly blind test.

True.. but since it's a new monitor I'd expect it to at least match other brands currently out their.

Way out of my price range, but know some people go for this stuff, I used to be one of those people myself ;)
