I Can't seem to see this as being a fun game. All the level are fairly short. Not very fun at all.

I got the libary. Where i had to jump on books and waht not.

Anyone like this game

Alice was a very cool game. It wasnt impressive because of its size or because it was cutting edge. The environments and atmosphere of the game were what made it great.

The level design was amazing, the weapons and enemies very unique. I'd call it a good thing in a small package. Try taking it slowly, and enjoying it for how unique it is rather than expecting an immediate rush. It may have been based on the Quake 2 engine, but it wasn't Quake.

Just my 2 cents. I think I'll go play it again if i can find my copy, thanks for the reminder :)

Quake 3 engine, not Quake 2.

It took me awhile to get into this game. You have to play it in bits and pieces to enjoy it thoroughly. It is a very good game in the end.

I really liked it.

It was slow to start, but once you get into it, it's great.

I didn't mind the short levels because theres a ton of em, and a lot of variety. Most games don't have nearly the variety--you just see the same models and textures throughout the whole game (think Far Cry, Half Life 2) Alice was definitely one of the coolest games I've ever played.

Mm.. so people actualy like this game. amazing. I can't get into it.....

That game was great. There is one level towards the end (second to last I think) that has this violin music that is great! I really wanted to find that sound track but it wasn't on the net at the time. Maybe I sould go back and look through the game directory. Anyways, it has a great atmosphere and although some levels are a tad anoying it is a great game. Its on my top 10 list.

I loved this game when it first came out... it didnt get that much hype though which i felt it deserved more... the look of the game was what made me want to play it... the only thing is though that after i beat it (rather quickly) i didnt want to play it again....

Me too. The cool thing about playing older games on newer hw is that you can pump up the resolution, aa, and af to max. I remember when I was able to finally turn everything in EQ after I got my 9800 pro. It really breathed new life into the game.

One of the best games ever IMO. Very artistically innovative.

Two thumbs up from me.

When this came out, wasn't it marketed as American McGee's Alice? What is American McGee up to these days?

for the time in which it was released, it was a fairly good game...compared to newer games such as...say...HL2, Deus Ex, FarCry, Psychonauts; it pales in comparison

AWESOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEEEE GAME!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOT!!!

/OP, take your time and enjoy. Try to get into the game. It may be hard b/c it's older but it really is a good game. I loved it. Great atmosphere.

are they not working on a cgi motion picture based off this game?

He just released Scrapland recently. It's a good game as well.
He was also working on American McGee's Oz... but that was scrapped. :(

I don't know if it will be CGI, but Sarah Michelle Gellar is lined up to play Alice.

ah... cool. its still based in the same universe or style, right?

I loved it. I played it long after it's time in 2003, and I found it be a highly enjoyable game.
