No price yet, but goes on sale 11/01. I'm sure it will be a rock bottom price again. At the same time they will also sell a 19" LCD screen, 200gb external hdd, some cheap looking 5.1 flat panel speakers and a PC USB tablet.

Got a flyer yesterday with the price: $799.00! The 19" LCD will sell for $399.99 and the 17" for 279.99. Both have speakers built in, probably nothing to write home about though.

The 200GB external HDD has firewire and USB connectors and sells for $179.99. All items come with a 12 month warranty.

My girlfriend's brother might be getting one. I would never buy electronics from a grocery store, but this does look like a pretty good deal. The only thing that concerns me is that they don't mention any video card, so it probably just has onboard.

In response to your question:
The MEDION Titanium MD 8084XL comes with integrated
graphics that support DVDs, digital photos, productivity
programs such as Word, and most games. Avid gamers who
demand the highest performance on the latest game releases
can easily upgrade using the available 8x AGP slot.

I was pricing out a comparable system last night and it was coming pretty close, especially after adding in the cost for windows.

It will depend on which motherboard it is using ... I wish I can find more details ... it's not a bad deal as it is ...

It says it uses an MS-7060 Mainboard with SiS 661 Chipset/Graphics. I couldn't find any mention of that motherboard anywhere. That is from the 'more information' link on that page.

I believe its a European Released MB only...

Considering Medion is a German Based Company..

I would say this is the Motherboardhere

youd probably be better off getting in on a Dell 400SC deal. They are great puters(once you upgrade em)

A few things I've been told about the Aldi Specials, El-Cheapo MOBO, but stable and No Floppy Drive (tightwads) !
