ALC850 or Audigy LS?

Ok, I made the mistake of buying an Audigy 1 LS (horrible sound -_-) when I moved from my nForce2 w/ Soundstorm to my nForce3. Can't really afford anything else right now, so I wonder if the onboard sound is better than the Audigy 1 LS (which is CRAP, Soundstorm sounded like a million times better), it's the realtek ALC850.
 
The Audigy LS should sound better than either Soundstorm or the ALC850- try moving PCI slots, playing with PCI timings. Granted, the LS's only advantage over the 850 is better sound, given the utter lack of CPU utilization. Also, what speakers? That will make a huge difference in whether or not you will be able to discern the upgrade in sound quality (provided you get the LS working right). My suggestion would be to try and make the LS work; if you can't return it and see if the 850 will work until you can get a real soundcard, such as an Audigy 2 Value (basically a ZS without the useless stuff that most people don't need).
 
Maddog Entertainer 7.1 or Chaintech 7.1 based on the Via Envy dude!

Speakers aren't the best, Creative Inspire 4400 4.1, but they are the same that I had with the Soundstorm, and with the Audigy I get tiny bits of "static" on high tones and deep base and such. And also, the interface/drivers STINK horribly :p But I'll try to play around with it a little.
