Akasa PSU conflicts with UPS ?

Here's the problem:
I have had a 600VA UPS made by Inform for about a year...worked fine until I replaced my noname PSU with a 400w active pfc Akasa PSU. But the new PSU if the power goes the system shuts down..and the akasa PSU makes a weird buzzing..after that the UPS clicks and shuts down. The UPS works fine with my roommates system..also a non active pfc PSU.
What do you guys think ?
