Hey guys,
So I got an x800xt AIW yesterday from amazon.com and when i threw it in my comp (its agp) and plugged in the power to it, turn the system on, i get no video output.
When i turn on my monitor and let it go into standby and then i turn the computer on, the monitor will resume from standby but will come up saying "please check signal cable". Ive tried everything i can think of to get this fixed, just wondering if i have a bad card on my hands that i need to RMA.
So far heres what i have tried:
Swapped my 500w Ultra X-Connect with a ThermalTake 480w
Unplugged all drives and accessories, even tried unplugging fans to rule out PSU.
Removed pci cards
Cleared CMOS
Reseated card/connections
Tried different floppy connector for power
Tried VGA and DVI ports, even hooked it up to my tv
Not necessarily the order I tested everything in, but thats what ive done so far, i probly forgot some stuff, but thats most of it. The computer notices no problems at all, it will continue to boot into windows (i can hear the speakers play the windows logon music) but i still get no video at all. Can you guys think of something else i should try or should i just call it a bad card and RMA it?
