got a quick question. i have a 9700AIW and i need to kno whow to hook up the tv out. i looked in the manual but i either am no tgetting it or im missing something. my TV has 2 plugs on the front; 1 white 1 yellow . it says video and audio underneath them, yet the manual implies that i should have 3 plugs?

basically, what wire do i need and what plug do i use, thx for answering this lame question

:)

My best guess would be that your tv only allows for a mono audio in? You don't neccesarily NEED three jacks, just one for video and one for audio. That also could be video and audio out on your tv, might wanna check that. Also, just go into the ATI Control Panel and I think its in displays that you can toggle tv-out on and off. I don't have an ATI card so this is from memory of my old laptop, so it might be a little different.

yes, i found my tv manual and it doesnt have s video in or whatever just a video and audio jacks in. it does also appear to be mono. no biggie. guesss i gotta buy 2 wires. my other question is do i NEED to use that purple connector thing (scart ?).

You don't need the purple breakout box. You should of got a red adapter cable and black adapter cable the red is for HDTV and composite. The black is the one you should use. Just plug that into your card and connect a RCA cable to the yellow video out and then connect the other end of the cable to your TV video in.

ok thx, i do have a black cable that has multple attachments il try that. thanks a lot. now to find an rca cable....
