AIW 9800 Pro flashed to 9800 XT?

Is it possible to flash an AIW 9800 Pro to 9800 XT? Anything to squeeze a few fps and save some $$$....
 
It has to be the R360 core. If its the R350 core then you might get some problems. To check which core you have, take off the heatsink. Or you can just try flashing it, if it doesnt work then flash it back to normal.
 
I flashed my 9800Pro 128MB to a 9800XT. The card is 360 and 256bit so the flash went fine. I know Sapphire short changed a few cards and only gave them 128bit.

what kind of performance gain did you get with the flash?
 
i think about 5-10 fps gain.. maybe a little more.. and in some situation barely 2 or 3 fps gain..
