My wife asked me to go to an airshow - she thought I wouldn't go - I thought "what has she been smoking!"

Perfect weather and a spot on my lens arrrg! oh well 501 pictures later ( they are still D/Ling)

hey cool! Nice pics! I was there too.. I've only processed a couple of images so far.

I missed the T'birds because my daughter was very tired after walking all over the base. I got to see some of their show from my backyard though, just couldn't get any good pics.

I was looking for the B2 - couldn't find it - we got there on Saturday about 2:00pm so just enough time to see the Tbirds and wander about for a half hour or so before it was over. Next year I'm going to be waiting at the gate!

The B-2 fly-by happened around noon. Damn, i just noticed from your pics that I missed the Raptor too..
Next time I'm going by myself.

Nice shots of the Thunderbirds. I love it during the spring and summer airshow seasons because I live in Las Vegas and all I have to do is go out on my balcony and look to the northeast and catch them when they're doing practice runs over Nellis. When I lived in Death Valley years past I'd catch them practicing out over Crystal Lake by looking due south too. Just fun to watch 'em as they do their maneuvers.

I hope to catch the Nellis airshow later this year as I keep missing it even though I know it's happening. Just a quick trip up LV Blvd but the Wife and I never seem to do it.

The next sesion involves the Blue Angels - they come into Boeing Field the week after next for Seafair. I hope not to offend any AF types but F18 > F16 (IMHO)

Man, I haven't been to an airshow in a LONG time. Not since they closed the Air Force Base just over 2 hours from where I grew up, back during the Clinton administration.
