Airflow Problem in an X-Blade case

So I'm starting to think that there may be a problem with the cooling in my X-Blade case. When I feel to the left of the hard drive bay, I can hardly feel any air coming through from the fan located on the other side of it, which I'm using as my intake. Is this just stupid design on the case's part, should I be upgrading to a better fan, put the hard drive somewhere else, or what would you suggest?

There is a pic of the case posted here:

I'm currently running Thermaltake Thunderblade 120s for intake and exhaust with a Thunderblade 80 on the side, all at 5V because I'm a silent enthusiast. This brings me to another question, should I be having the 80 on the side, or is that causing too much turbulence and doing more damage than its worth? Figured since it was at 5V and its an 80 that it probably wouldn't hurt it TOO much...

Thanks.

Can you mount a 120mm in the front? It looks like you might be able to from the pictures on the egg. I'm a big fan of 120mm fans.

Yeah, I have a 120mm on the front bottom, pinched between the front of the case and the hard drive bay. It is a Thunderblade 120 and is the one that I'm using for intake. I'm worried because it does seem to be "pinched" there and I don't feel much airflow when I feel on the other side of the hard drive bay...

Ahhhh...I see what you're saying, now. Read your post too fast, I guess.
Are the fan blades are spinning? I've heard of some fans that won't start at 5V. Have you tried it at 12V to have something to compare to? Just some ideas.

I wouldn't worry about removing the 80. It shouldn't hurt anything. If you're crazy about quiet, though...you could probably get away without it.

Yes, the fan blades are definitely spinning as I can see the fan itself. Just wondering if it has enough clearance between the hard drive bay and the front of the case to actually take in any air to expell it across the hard drives and throughout the rest of the case.

Have not tried a 12V fan to see if it makes a difference or not as I don't have any 12V fans (I had to manually rewire all the fans because they aren't compatible with a fan controller).

Was thinking about buying a Yate Loon 120 though... have heard that it is similar to a Nexus noise-wise, but pushes more air. Can anyone attest to how quiet the Yate Loon is compared to the Nexus?

I don't have any Yate Loons, but I have Nexus True Silent 120s on the radiators for both my watercooled rigs. They are extremely quiet.
