I have an MCP 655 in the 2-Bay XPSC Reservoir (I forget the exact name). I figure the rest of the parts in my loop are irrelevant, but they are in my sig if needed.
Anyways, I set the loop up about 5 months ago, everything installed nicely. I bled the loop about as much as I could and I'm still getting excellent performance to this day.
However, every so often I will get air sounds from the pump, similar to the sounds I got when bleeding the loop. I assumed all of the air had to be gone by now, but I still get 'wooshes' every once in awhile, I assume, from tiny air pockets that are still present in the loop.
My question: Is this a normal and should I be concerned? Is my pump defective in some way or is there simply still some air present in the loop? I assume its near impossible to get 100% of the air removed from the loop. I imagine most of the air pockets would be in the top mounted 120x3 rad.
As I've said there is no other problems except for the noise. The pump is pretty silent itself (no louder than my GT 15s) and my tubing is optimally routed with no kinks. The liquid (Distilled water with a killcoil) is still crystal clear and I have never had any leaks or other problems with this loop other than the occasional noise.
Any input?
