I have an 80mm fan directly above my cpu on a TT Mambo case. The problem is, that with a TT big typhoon installed, there is only an inch and a half space between the big typhoon and my 80 mm fan. Will there be any complications with the 80mm fan exhausting air while the BT takes in air and blows on the HS? I heard that in a situation like this, a vacuum will be formed and no air will be displaced.

If a vacuum is formed, how much will I be able to ebay a ROOMBA for?

I really can't afford for my 80mm side case fan to be used as an intake because I already have 1 120mm intake blowing on my HDs and one 120mm case fan exhausting at the rear.

The 80mm fan as an intake is better than as an exhaust in your case. You simply do not want stagnant air over your CPU (which may be happening right now). You'll have positive pressure in your case with 2 intakes but that's better than your configuration now.

I agree with the above poster: have them both blowing down towards the chip. But you might also want to see what happens if you have both of them sucking air up off the chip and out of the case. Since it's relatively simple to reverse the fans, you might as well give it a shot and see which way works better.

I tried putting the 80mm fan as an intake above my big typhoon worked wonders for my cpu. On my overclocked to 3.3 prescott cpu, I get 24c idle and 32c load on average temperatures. That's where it all ends, my ambient temps when up to 40c and my HDs are now running at 50+ C. What kind of ambient temps can I expect when I add another intake 120mm blowing at my HDS? The total will be 1x rear 120mm exhaust, 1x psu 120mm intake, 1x 80mm cpu fan intake, 1x 120mm HD intake. With 40c ambient, what should I expect with the addition of the 120mm for HDs? Will drilling ventalilation/case fan holes at the top of my case lower my embiant temps?
