Air conditioning unit

has anyone made a mini air conditioning unit? I need to build one, but was going to see if anyone have done it before.
 
peltier? or do you mean for multiple computers? there are units you can buy that will cool just one room etc. and of course there are window units...

If you are thinking of ducting a A/C unit to your computer, then you will have to worry about the condensation.
 
Look up a schematic for a single-stage phase change setup, and replace the evap head with another condensor-type rad.
 
Yah, as fun as an AC unit is, they can chill below room temperature. Anything that goes below room temperature will collect condensation.
It not a huge deal if your not going very cold, but its hard to regulate since it has to cool a chip that runs between 30 degrees C and over 100 degrees C.
Like stated above, phase units are around. Heavy insulation helps to reduce condensation.

Myself, my tower intake sits about 6 inches away from my window AC.
