Since I know you guys like to keep your computers pretty clean and dust free. I was wondering is there any air compressor you guys recommend versus going out and buying tons and tons of air cans?
Because I am a poor college student I was hoping it to be somewhat on the cheap side and portable as I move from dorm to dorm.

I have a Craftsmen, Any small air compressor would work, just make sure it comes with the right attachments
 
what kind of attachments would be needed? Or just something small that I can point at trouble areas?
 
Yes I work with some friends doing computer repair, etc. We have run into this problem, and decided to go with an air-compressor. A small pancake one should do just fine from sears.
 
here ya go buddy . i have one just like this . the accessory kit has everything you need .
good price . about the same price as ,,say , 20 cans of air . tell the wife youll save money in the long run . as well as blowing up the tires on the car , blowing dust from anything that needs dust blowing , etc . it a great tool for everything . as well as your computer .

I actually use a vacuum pump that inflates inflatable matresses. I got it for like 15 bucks. Just pop it in reverse and go.

Works rather well, and also on teh cheap.
 
You can just get an air tank if you like, then go to the gas statio and fill it up for 75 cents.:) One tank should last quite a while. Can get a 10-20 gallon tank with hose and gauge for like 20 bucks at wally world.
 
I should also add that I got my harbor freight 2 gallon the day after thanksgiving for $50
It came with a hose, air chuck (for tires) and a blow gun (for dusting)

A lot of those compressed air tanks say not to leave them at pressure for more than a few hours. read the warnings carefully before going that route.
 
Another important accessory is a filter/water separator hooked in between the tank and hose. This will protect you from spraying condensed water from inside the tank onto the electronics inside the box.
