• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I need aim. I mean I have been adicted since i was in JR High. Well I got a new internship. So obviously i cannot download aim, or go to www.aim.com to use the quickbuddy stuff. Are there any programs out there that i can run on my flash drive or a floppy, or a web bassed aim alternative?

So you are, in essence, trying to get around restrictions at work? An intership, no less?

Now, I'm trying NOT to make declarations regarding people's intelligence ( it tends to get the mods all worked up ), so I'll just let you imagine what I'd say here. It's an internship, and they obviously don't want you chatting with your friends while you are supposed to be working for them.

I suggest you leave aim at home.

why would aim not work on your thumb frive

AIM is blocked out of your work for a reason. Discussing a way to bypass that here is a violation of the TOS.

surfermsd, as mentioned, we are not going to help you try to circumvent your employer's network restrictions. If you had a legitimate need to use a program they block, I'd say go to your sysadmin and present your case. I'm afraid, though, that saying "I'm addicted to AIM" ain't gonna cut it.
