seems like no one uses aib ram on hardforum or amdmb.com forum.. but their pc4200 cas2.5 is $168 for 2x512 chips! so itll work up to 266(533) fsb supposedly
what kind of timings are we talking about with these? i mean is it enough of a performance boost to justify paying double for the 2-2-2-7 type namebrand pc3500 ram? ive always got high quality ram in the past(mushkin, corsair xms),
but seeing this ram makes me think.
1. i can get a gig of ram instead of 512(which would be helpful for the applications i use)
2. i wont be afraid of ram being the bottleneck while overclocking, i mean its pc4200 ram afterall.
the only consequence i see is looser memory timings, which arent a huge deal with games right? i just cant seem to find info on memory timings for this ram, wouldit be around 2.5 4 4 11?
having a fat FSB is most important right? since bandwith is the issue? someone tell me im insane or is this an ok deal
