I ordered a 1 gb SD card and 1 gb CF cardr from Dell for my Axim X50v about a month ago... They said it wasn't going to ship out till April 11th... Which was fine and dandy, I got in on a deal at Costco for a 1gb CF card earlier... So I waited the month or so for it to ship... The I get an email from Dell about 3 days ago... basically we're sorry, we won't be able to ship the cards till 4/18/2005. I'm like fine.. I waited this long, might as well wait a little longer... Yesterday I got an email from them saying, oh we're sorry, we won't be able to ship your order till 4/25/2005. WTF... That would make almost 2 months of waiting for my fricken memory card... Anyone else going through this?!?

Well... I would cancel, but I got a fairly good price for the two cards... less then $60 for a 1gb flash card (shipped to Hawaii) is a very good price... It just irks me that they keep pushing the date back... and their site says Usually ships in 24 hrs....

Now you se why their customer satisfaction is plummeting like the Hindenberg. A friend of mine tried to order a digital camera from Dell, but was told it was back-ordered. No problem...happens. It took him a total of 10 hours on the phone, not including time spent on hold, to get them to issue a refund.
Oh well, guess people who don't have the money have to deal with it... The deal breaker for me not going with Newegg this time was the shipping charge... Newegg had the cards for about $75 each... but their shipping to Hawaii is $22... Total cost over Dell was $50...
Oh well... like I said... all I can do is wait... I was wondering if anyone else is waiting on their 1gb flash memory cards from Dell...

I wish... actually, newegg isn't the only one that rapes us people from Hawaii (and Alaska too I believe)... For some odd reason, they don't think we're part of the United States of America.... Many of them charge us extra for getting our items shipped USPS too... Well, that includes people selling crap on Ebay too...
They force us to order our things with next day or second day shipping which isn't even guaranteed to be shipped to us next day or even second day... AND They charge us an arm an a leg... I think Buy.com was going to charge me $25+ for shipping too...
Its crazy I tell you... And don't anyone start talking about, well you get to live in Hawaii with the Sun and the Beaches and crap... The cost of living here is crazy, the pay here isn't even competative with the mainland... I'm here because family is here...
